Job Purpose

The Head of Product is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the strategic planning, development, and lifecycle management of innovative life insurance products. This role requires a balance of strategic execution, regulatory compliance, and people leadership. The position will oversee a team of product development professionals and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies, particularly the Ministry of Finance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

• Define and execute product strategy aligned with company goals and market trends.
• Monitor industry movements and customer needs to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

2. Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of product specialists and senior experts.
• Oversee recruitment, development, and performance management to build a high-performing team.

3. Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure all products comply with local regulations, working directly with the Ministry of Finance for approvals.
• Proactively adapt strategies in response to regulatory changes.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration

• Coordinate closely with actuarial, legal, marketing, distribution, and operations teams to ensure smooth product development and launch.
• Maintain strong relationships with regulators and external partners for timely approvals and market entry.

5. Product Lifecycle Management

• Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle—from ideation to post-launch monitoring and refinement.
• Implement feedback loops and performance tracking for continuous product improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related fields (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in life insurance product development, including 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong track record of working with the Ministry of Finance or similar regulatory bodies on product approvals.
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and project management skills.
• In-depth understanding of Vietnam's insurance market and regulatory environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
